After starting in the youth team of Sevilla and winning the King’s Cup in that division, he made the leap to Sevilla Atlético and made his debut in both competitions – the League and the King’s Cup. You First Sports was with him from the beginning of his journey.
Following a productive year at Racing Santander, Bernardo was selected for to debut in the Colombian National Team.
After a year at Sevilla FC, he signed with Real Sporting Gijon where he got a promotion to the First Division, being a key player after he won the Best Defensive Player of the Season in the Second Division.
Thanks to a great season at Real Sporting de Gijon, where the Spanish stayed in the first division, Espinosa agreed a deal with Middlesbrough in the North of England, where he displayed his strength in the ultra-competitive Premier League. The past season Bernardo defended Girona’s colors, a team that was in first division for the first ever. This season Bernardo plays at RCD Espanyol.
